The Escape Artist

 
"The Escape Artist" snuck up on me! I was busyy playing with color and composition, layering in paint, a snippet from an old canvas, and then gelli prints- when I saw him! "Remarkably Bright Creatures" included an octobpus who ventures out of his tank at night-- and I think this guy may be even braver, making a day-time attempt! Do you see his mantle? His tentacles in his tank? I had to smile and lean into the fun with a swoop of celebration flags. Houdini seems like too obvious a name. What would be a good name for an octobpus adventurer? Megellan maybe?
