Storytime Stitches

These "Painted + Stitched" series pieces begin with acrylic paint and India Ink , then evolve through hand embroidery. Each one started without a plan– the story, the image, the meaning emerged as I work. Brush then needle in dialogue.
 
A palace on a hill, layered rooflines above, village streets below—formed by stitch and instinct.  
 
Starting from an abstract acrylic and ink painting, I cropped to the section that felt alive, then let hand embroidery unfold the narrative thread by thread. Warm earth tones and golden light create depth, where paint, thread, and shadow meet.
