Silent Waltz
I was trying to represent the concept of “suspension” like in water, yet I end up realizing that water moves while the sea plant is grounded. So while some things might float and drift wherever the waterflow takes them, others are going to simply “shimmy” in place and maintain Self amidst whatever is happening, perhaps even able to enjoy whatever that is?
The old English teacher in me suddenly linked it to classic literature and thought of Virginia Woolf's "To the Lighthouse" and maybe the central sea plant is like her central character Mrs. Ramsey. (The flow of symbols from an abstract painting to literature? Why not?)
In the story, Mrs. Ramsey is enjoying the chaos of her bustling household with 6 children, knowing she is the matriarch heart center of it all, the grounding for ALL of them to turn to. She is THEIR lighthouse, making it all look easy, whether charmingly running across the lawn in her galoshes or smoothing over awkward dinner party conversation.
I’ve named it “The Silent Waltz” and I think that fits with the “underwater” idea but, additionally, for me it represents how this main focus (like Mrs Ramsey) is the dancemaster, guiding this entire circular scene for all.
